Beautiful wall decoration of the Kampfgruppe 606 (Küstenfliegergruppe 606). Based from 1941 in Catania, Sicily.
The metal shield in the center is hand-painted and shows an aircraft flying over a tropical territory. It was a part of an aircraft. Wooden frame with the lettering on the edge "Kampf Gruppe 606". There are three small wooden plaques on the top. They show the emblems of the squadron and the Luftwaffe Radio Operator & Air Gunner Badge. "R. Schudes" named and dated "Catania 9.9.1942" on the back.
