Hans Frank was born on 23. May 1900 in Karlsruhe. In 1919 he joined the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei "DAP", the predecessor organization of the NSDAP. He was also the personal lawyer of Adolf Hitler and a member of the German Reichstag. During WWII he was Generalgouverneur of occupied Poland. Because of his brutality in occupied Poland, he was called "Schlächter von Polen" ("Butcher of Poland"). At the Nürnberg trials, he was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and executed by hanging on 15./16. October 1946.
