Commemorative Badge in Bronze of the Einsatzstaffel of the Deutschen Mannschaft "DM" in Croatia. So-called "Croatian SS Badge".
The Einsatzstaffel "DM" was a military unit of ethnic Germans in Croatia, under the command of the Waffen-SS. The leader was Volksgruppenführer and SS-Sturmbannführer Branimir Altgayer. Many members of the unit served on the Russian Front in 1941/1942. In 1943 the unit was incorporated into 7. SS-Freiwilligen-Gebrigs-Division "PRINZ EUGEN".
Bronzed tombak badge. Hollow-construction. The pin is broken. Very rare to find.
