Description

Transitional HJ knife, So-called "Fahrtenmesser", made by WKC in 1937. 

Steel magnetic grip with uncracked bakelite grip plates, attached with steel rivets. Light damage and corrosion on the grip. Large size grip emblem with multiple cracks in the red enamel. Transitional style blade with ricasso. Etched motto "Blut und Ehre" on the front. RZM marking M7/42 dated 1937 together with the WKC logo stamped on the backside of the blade. The blade is sharpened on the cutting edge and has light corrosion. The leather buffer pad is still attached. The black painted scabbard has general corrosion. Attached to the scabbard is the LS marked leather belt loop with working snap button.
