Description

An impressive reservist's mug to Jäger Gulden. He served with the Bavarian 2. Jägerbataillon in Aschafffenburg from 1908 to 1910.

The porcelain mug consists of beautiful colored patriotic pictures and scenes related to his service. Slight chipping/loss of color. In the center is his portrait photo. There are also excellent raised ornaments and the handle looks like a branch. The picture on the bottom, the so-called "Bodenbild", can be seen if you hold the mug up to the light. It has no cracks. The mug also shows the names of his comrades who served with him in the 3rd company.

Original pewter lid. It is also very elaborately designed. On the top is a Jäger shako, the base is made of genuine stag horn. A stag is depicted on the thumb lift. The lid is slightly loose (wobbles) and has a small dent on the bottom edge.

0.5-litre mug. Total height of the mug with lid: 22 cm.

In addition the war chronicle 1914-1918 of Jäger Gulden. He was awarded the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Crown and Swords, the Military Long Service Award 3rd Class, and the Honor Cross of WWI. He was discharged from the army on 28.11.1918.

Size: 55x45 cm.
