A nice very original German M40 helmet with green and tan cammoflage paint. The type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.
Paint: Original factory paint covered with a 2-color camo paint applied outside and in. Around 60% of the camo paint still present and slight indication of a single decal present beneath the paint. There is some rust on the inside and out.
Lining: Originial leather lining is partially present with stiff wear worn leather. It does not appear the liner rivets were opened
Chin strap: Stiff leather but orginal chin strap is present.
Markings: Q64 with lot number stamped 327
