A fascinating field tunic paired with straight trousers, worn by a general in a tropical war setting. The tunic, in a sun-bleached green/tan color, features four pockets and displays a general’s insignia. The lapels appear to have been typically worn open, as indicated by the distinct areas that show less sun exposure.
General’s collar tabs: Clearly worn, with a nice patina. Hand-applied.
General’s breast eagle: Hand-embroidered, showing minimal wear. Also hand-applied.
Sewn-in shoulder boards: For a Generalleutnant, with a red backing and a pleasant patina.
Award loops: Two loops present, exhibiting signs of wear.
The tunic remains in good condition overall, with visible signs of use but no damage. The insignia were attached a little but look to be perfectly matching.
All buttons EXTRA FEIN Assmann marked and period time applied apart from one shoulder board button.
Accompanying the tunic is an unworn pair of matching straight trousers. Interestingly, these trousers were issued by the depot and are marked with the maker and size. The design is unusual, and they are in perfect condition.
