Nymphenburg porcelain plate "Gedeck des Führers"
Description
The plate features an orange-red floral design with a gilded rim. Gerdy Troost designed it in November 1935. It was made by the Munich porcelain factory Nymphenburg. This plate was part of the "Perl" coffee service, which was used in the Reichskanzlei and Schloss Kleßheim (Hitler's guest house from 1940 to 1945). "Nymphenburg" maker marked on the back.
Diameter: 24.5 cm.
The coffee set for 250 people was delivered to the Reichskanzlei on 25.02.1936. A set for 50 people was also delivered to Hitler's guest house Schloss Klesheim. At the "1. Deutschen Architektur- und Kunsthandwerksaustellung" in Munich in 1938, the set was exhibited under the title "Gedeck des Führers".
