Saxony - Herzog-Alfred-wedding medal 1899

Description

Silver wedding medal, issued on January 23, 1899 by Duke Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha on the occasion of his silver wedding to Grand Duchess Marie of Russia. Very nice specimen. On the lower edge of the medal on the obverse the designer's signature: Max von Kawczynski.

The medal was awarded to all the participating princes, their entourage, the ducal court, the officials and serving officers, as well as persons who were in closer relationship with the ducal house.
