Description

An early SS Service Dagger. Made by Herder Solingen.

The blade comes with the etched motto "Mein Ehre heißt Treue". "Herder Solingen" maker marked. Stains and pitting. Nice black wooden handle with enamel SS roundel and national eagle (nickel). Slight chipping to the top. Early nickel crossguards. "I" stamped. Black repainted steel scabbard. Nickel fittings. All four screws in place. Two small dents (one of them on the "ball").

The handle including both crossguards are slightly loose.
