Door Hardware for the SS Officer School Berlin Lichterfelde

Description

A full set of door hardware including the key-plates and door handles from the “Preußische Hauptkadettenanstalt” (Royal Prussian Main Cadet Institute) in Groß-Lichterfelde near Berlin. It was the main military academy training officer corps of the Prussian Army from 1882 to 1920. From 1933 till 1945, the building complex housed the SS Division Leibstandarte.

The set was liberated by Edward McCarthy in 1946. See also his authentication letter and statement.
