Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

A very rare Luftwaffe Sport Award Booklet for championships in the “Luftgaukommando Westfrankreich” for the 3rd winner of the Relay in Paris in 1942. The booklet is pictured in “Sport and and Thrid Reich” by R. Newborough on page 199.

Signed by General der Flakartillerie Dr. phil. Eugen Weissmann (*19.11.1892 in Germersheim, †26.11.1951 in München), Kommandierender General und Befehlshaber im Luftgau Westfrankriech (24.06.1940-30.06.1944). He received the Deutsches Kreuz in Silber on 20.03.1944.
