Mecklenburg - Ensign Spike helmet Dragoner Rgt. 18

Description

HELMET AROUND 1890

BODY: Good leather with hairline cracking.

VISOR: Square front visor

FURNITURE: The primary furniture of the helmet is silver toned to include the Mecklenburg coat of arms, clover leaf base and front visor trim (slightly loose). The spike tip is missing. The starburst is golden toned.

CHIN SCALES: The chin scales are a gilded brass. Ensign type.

COCKADES: Missing

INTERIOR: Leather. With white inscription "D 18" and 4 E III" as well as "1893 1896"

SWEATBAND: Dark brown leather sweatband with signs of wear.

100% of the original hardware. Untouched hardware

This helmet has never been taken apart into it's single components. There are no extra or "double" holes.
