VIEW DESCRIPTION

A German M42 helmet. The latest type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.

Paint: Original factory paint. Around 40% still present. Signs of wear.

Decals: The eagle decal is about 40%.

Lining: Flexible leather lining torn in part. Still soft. Original cord.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.

Chin strap: Soft leather. 1940 dated. Maker marked.

Markings: hpk64 and lot number 2539
