A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 90% still present, however, this helmet was overpainteed with red color once. The paint was carefully removed without damaging the decal. Some traces of red color are still there.
Decals: The eagle decal is about 80%.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord. 57 size stamped.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
