Rare mid-period M33 SS Service Dagger made by Klittermann & Moog with the "!" motto.
Black wooden handle with multiple cracks, inlaid with SS roundel and nickel eagle. Early nickel cross guards and pommel screw. Steel blade with heavy corrosion in multiple spots, featuring the etched motto "Meine Ehre heisst Treue!" with the rare "!" following the motto. The backside of the blade is etched with the RZM logo 324/38, indicating this dagger was made by Klittermann & Moog in 1938. This period marks the transition between early nickel daggers and later zinc and steel daggers. The scabbard is of the later type with a black repainted finish and nickel-plated steel fittings. All four screws are in place.
