Description

HJ Knife, "Fahrtenmesser" made by Carl Eickhorn.

This late model 1939 knife features a double marking on the blade. The zinc handle retains most of its nickel plating and has uncracked black Bakelite grip plates. The steel grip rivets are intact, and the large grip emblem has a small crack in the bottom red enamel. The blade shows light wear but remains in its full shape. The back of the blade is stamped with the Eickhorn logo, RZM marking M7/66 (Eickhorn), and the number 39 on the ricasso, indicating it was made in 1939. The leather buffer pad is still attached around the blade. The typical round point scabbard by Eickhorn has nearly 100% of its original black paint intact. The scabbard has a black coloured leather hanger featuring a working snap button.
