He was trained as an observer ("Beobachter") at the Fliegerwaffenschule See Parow. After the war, he served with the German Bundeswehr (navy). His last military rank was Fregattenkapitän. He died on 12.11.2009.

Noted on page 4. Promotions up to Oberleutnant zur See. His units are listed on pages 23, 24, and 25.
