VIEW DESCRIPTION

An early SS Service Dagger with Ernst Röhm dedication.

The dagger comes with a steel blade showing the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" and the maker's mark of Carl Eickhorn, Solingen showing the 1933-35 stamp. Röhm's name has been removed from the reverse.

Black wooden handle with inlaid SS roundel and national eagle. There are some minor wear marks to the wood and there's some green patina around the Eagle and roundel. Early nickel crossguards. The lower crossguard shows the marking of the Zeugmeisterei Berlin "III". Original black anodized steel scabbard with nickel fittings. No dents. All screws are in place but a slight circular mark of surface rust on the chape.

Includes the matching leather hanger. Fully working snap clip with mark RZM M5/8 for FW Assmann along with the Assmann 'A'

Light traces of wear. An excellent dagger in condition 2+.
