Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

Rare single-decal version of a tropical pith helmet.

The early tombak eagle decal is originally attached to the helmet with all prongs in place. A Tricolore shield was never attached to the other side.

The decal is made out of tombak and has nearly its full original color.

Brown leather sweatband with signs of use and age, but still soft. Underneath the sweatband several stamps.

The brown leather chinstrap is originally attached and still soft, but has some cracks and signs of age.

Several stains to the fabric on the outside, and roughening to the edge protection.

Worn helmet with character and patina.
