Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued to Gefreiten Ernst Schmalzbauer on 25.3.1942. Hand-signed by Generalmajor Karl Freiherr von Thüngen, Knight's Cross and German Cross in Gold winner. He was also a member of the Resistance of 20. July 1944 (20 July plot). Executed on 24.10.1944.
