Description

An excellent prototype of an lion's head sabre for army officers. Made by Carl Eickhorn. Solingen. 

Clean blade with the maker's mark of Carl Eickhorn. Brass hilt with lion's head pommel. Comes with two red inlaid glass eyes. Both langets bear an eagle with swastika. The knuckle guard also shows the national eagle. Black re-painted steel scabbard without dents.

Length: 100.5 cm.

Includes the officer's portepee. 

Nice condition 1-2.
