Description

Very rare photo grouping of SS-Obersturmführer Werner Löschner. He served in Hungary and as a guard at the Berghof (Obersalzberg). Awards: Close Combat Clasp in Silver, 1939 Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, and General Assault Badge. 

The grouping consists of 

- excellent portrait photos, which also show his awards

- very rare photos as a guard at the Berghof (Obersalzberg)

- photos of Munich, where he can be seen as a guard at the Feldherrnhalle

- rare photos from Dachau, presumably he served with the SS-Wachtruppe "Oberbayern"

- numerous photos of his service in Hungary with officers and leaders of the Hungarian Allies 

- photos of his SS training and from the frontline

- shots in the white SS summer tunic

- photos of his time as a prisoner of war, the soldiers wearing their decorations, including a photo with a German Cross in Gold winner

- numerous handwritten notes by SS-Obersturmführer Löschner on the back of the photos
