A German M40 helmet. A wartime type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 70% still present. Signs of wear but overall an honest looking piece.
Decals: The eagle decal is nearly 75%
Lining: Worn leather lining with signs of flaking and age but still flexible. Cord appears to be a replcement. 53 size stamped. Named to 'Ulik'.
Prongs may have been opened at one point.
