Description

Rare document grouping to Leutnant Walter Klein serving with Versuchs-Batterie 444, part of the Division z.V. The Versuchs-Batterie 444 was trained on the V-2 rocket and was to fire the first two missiles at Paris on September 6, 1944. Both attempts were unsuccessful. The Division z.V. was a special unit "Verband" of the Wehrmacht, which was responsible for the use of long-range weapons such as the V2 and later the V1. (Division z.V. = Division zur Vergeltung)

Certificate to 1939 War Merit Cross with Swords. Issued on 30.01.1945. Hand-signed by the Commander of the Division z.V. SS-Gruppenführer and Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS Hans Kammler. Very rare to find!

Certificate to Wound Badge in Black. Issued on 30.01.1945. Hand-signed by an Oberstleutnant.

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 12.02.1942. Hand-signed by a Generalmajor Rudolf von Roman, Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner.

"Heimat-Artillerie-Park Karlshagen" service badge. Part of the Peenemünde Army Research Center. Numbered "21828". Zinc.

"P VII 1264" aluminum tag. The tag was for access to the “Prüfstand VII" (Test Stand VII). It was the principal V-2 rocket testing facility at Peenemünde Airfield.
