Württemberg Charlottenkreuz , 1916 - 1918 cased

Description

Charlottenkreuz in very good condition with light patina in the original case from the royal mint in Stuttgart. On the original ribbon section, this with pin for attaching to clothing. Beautiful, complete ensemble.

In December 1914, King Wilhelm II of Württemberg decided to create an award in honor of his wife, which was to be presented after the war had been won. However, the cross had already been awarded during the First World War for various services. Two variants were minted by the Stuttgart Mint and awarded from the official founding date, January 5, 1916, until the end of the war.
