Wurttemberg - Order of the Wurttemberg Crown Knight's Cross

Description

Knight's Cross of the Order of the Wurttemberg Crown. Made from Gold and Enamel. Somewhat dirty but easy to clean. On the original trifold ribbon. Here a rare cross from the production of Steinam, who manufactured until 1886.

The order was founded in 1818 by King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. The Knight’s cross class (1st & 2nd) was finally divided into its final class division after repeated amendments to the statutes in 1886. The actual Knight's Cross could also be awarded with lions and swords or in a combination of both.

Beautiful cross and exceedingly rare including the correct case of issue.
