Award Document "Russian Maltese-Cross" - Free Corps Iron Division

Description

An extremely rare award document to the Russian Maltese Cross. Wachtmeister Wilhelm Haupls was part of the Iron Division, signal troops and received the cross on November 13, 1919.

The cross referred to in this document is probably the Awaloff-Cross or Black Army Cross awarded through the Volunteer German Russian West Army. The Iron Division was part of that Army from November 1918 to December 1919.
