  If we don’t hear from you within 24 hours, we will send an invoice choosing the payment and shipping options which we think are the most comfortable ones to you. Netherlands - Hasselt Cross 1830-1831

Description

Original bronze cross on orignal ribbon.

The Metal Cross (1830-1831) was instituted by Royal Decree in 1831. It was awarded to Dutch military personnel who took part in the 10 Days’ Campaign in Brussels that year, as well as to all Dutch military and naval personnel who served in campaigns from 1830 to 1831. The Cross was crafted from metal salvaged from two cannons captured at Hasselt, which is why it is occasionally called the Hasselt Cross.
