A handwritten letter (Feldpost) from a Heer soldier serving in Russia. "Dated, Russia 6.VI.1943". He sent the letter with seven photos to a prospective buyer of the chair. The soldier informed him that the chair came directly from the palace of Catherine II (Empress of Russia).
