A Heer visor cap for officers with an original photo proof. Two original pre 1945 photographs of the original owner wearing exactly the same cap! It is not a little more folded to the top but you can see by many details, that it is 100% the same cap!
The pre 8.5.1945 photos were given to his as a birthday present on 21.12.1947 and 21.12.1946, most probably to his mother.

Insignia: Hand-embroidered officer's pattern cap wreath badge and eagle. Period time attached by hand.
Chin strap: officer's strap. Correct buttons period time attached.
Lining: silver silk
Celluloid diamond: damaged
Maker's mark: none
Sweat-band: Signs of wear. Damage. Most parts of the seam have opened. The visor sits absolutely firmely.
