A privately purchased officer's field tunic designed like an M36 field tunic with a dark green collar and pleated pockets. Made from late-war wool cloth
Breast eagle: Flat-wire pattern. mounted on dark green backing. Attached by hand.
Collar tabs: Green braided officer's tabs. Period time attached by hand
Shoulder boards: Green base. Slip-on. Gilt pips. Hauptmann
Right sleeve badge: Edelweiss badge. Other ranks pattern. Attached by hand.
Left sleeve badge: Signs of a removed Narvik shield. Rest of glued paper.
Lining. Fine silk
Name tag / tailor's tag: maker tag, named to the owner. 1944 dated.
Buttons: Complete. Silver. Original attached.
A nice late-war tunic, with pockets in the Austrian style. It has no moth damage and has 3 sets of loops for award on the left pocket.
Colors slightly faded / bleached. Also, the information on the name tag looks to have been re-written period time.
