The neck protection shield is missing, all fastening buttons in place.
Typical machine-woven insignia, both period time attached by machine. Grommets made of iron with slight rust on the inside and outside. Officer's chin strap with the correct zinc buttons in place.
Fine red cotton lining with manufacturer's mark "Herbert Groll Uniformmützen Berlin", dated 1942, and size 57.
Little worn hat in good condition, with signs of poor storage and several stains on the outside.
