Hand-embroidered wreath badge made of gold thread, sewn by hand. The cap eagle is missing. Textbook leather chin strap with typical gold-plated Kriegsmarine buttons. Typical blue silk lining with signs of wear and age. The celluloid diamond is slightly torn but complete. There is a fabric label in the flap with the name “Schneider”. No further markings or stamps. The leather sweatband is intact and shows signs of wear and age. One seam is completely open at the front and the sweatband and peak are loose but still in position. The cap peak is made of leather and is still soft and flexible.
