Original M40 Luftwaffe helmet in untouched condition.
Helmet's paint is mostly missing on the outside and about 50% on the inside. The eagle decal remains at about 70% remaining. Rivets have not been not recently opened but retain the blue-grey luftwaffe paint.
Inside, the leather liner and chinstrap remain but leather is dried out and dusty. Original cord is present. The liner and strap fittings show rust commensurate with the rest of the helmet.
