Steel blade featuring the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". RZM "188/35" maker marked and "SS" marked on the reverse of the blade (unknown maker).
Black wooden handle with inlaid SS roundel and eagle. Early nickel crossguards. "I" stamped on the back of the lower fitting. Period time black re-painted steel scabbard with matching nickel fittings. No dents to the fittings. All four screws are in place.
