Very rare "Führerdegen" of a Hauptmann serving with Polizei Wachbataillon III and later SS-Polizei Regiment 17 and Polizei-Schützen-Regiment 32. He took part in anti-partisan actions like: (Operation "Werwolf I and II" also Operation "Sonnenschein"). Comes straight from the family and was never on the market before.
An excellent blade etched with the inscription "Gewidmet von der 3.Komp./Pol.-Wach.-Batl.III - zum 28.Okt.1942. Flanked by leaf decorations on three sides. No maker. The blade is in very nice condition.
Blackened wooden handle with a gilded inlaid police eagle and wire wrapping. Black painted scabbard with silver-plated fittings (magnetic). No dents.
Comes with a nice police portepee.
Length: 92 cm.
Slight traces of wear.
