Very interesting Luftwaffe Aftrika painted M40 helmet with very original afrika yellow sand paint at about 90% present. This helmet is unique in that it has a Luftwaffe eagle decal in the normal temple position as well as one patriorically placed at the forehead.
The paint is clearly original to the era with wear around the rim and high points. On the inside the liner is present with original cord. There is some damage to the liner where the cord is attached-The owner of the helmet is also labeled on the inside in white painted naming him as Reuscher.
There is a lot marking of 31785 to the helmet.
A very desirable original helmet with a story to tell.
