Extraordinary and Rare Japanese World War 2 Officer's Personal Photo Album Seldom seen, this album traces the career of a young officer in the Japanese Army probably in the 1930's through the early part of World War 2. The album opens with training photographs including a wonderful image of the owner wearing an early Katana or samurai sword. An equally striking image is of a solider on horseback with his Katana in a sling next to him. The next group of photos appear to be in a cold climate and I would suspect that it is either in northern China or Korea both being occupied by Japan during the war. The middle section shows him with his family and the conclusion is back with his troops, albeit stationed somewhere in Japan.
