Very rare grouping to Schütze Nikolaus Engel serving with SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 600. Formed from the 90 surviving soldiers of SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 500 on 01.10.1944. The unit was later increased to about 1000 soldiers.
Rare "Fallschirmjäger" cuff title. Black ribbon with hand-embroidered letters in silver wire threads. Silber "piping" at the top and bottom, consisting of six threads ("rows"). Length: 35.5 cm. Typical signs of wear.
Certificate to East Medal. Awarded on 12. May 1942. Hand-signed by the Commander of the Bataillon and Hauptsturmführer Siegfried Milius, German Cross in Gold winner (SS-number 291 568). Please note: There were often 1-2 years between the award and the issue of the East Medal. Most medals were not issued before 1944.
