A German M35 helmet. The earliest type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 70% still present. Signs of wear with a later finish over the original. The helmet was issued with a field green factory paint and received a second field grey paint in the field where both decals were painted over.
Decals: The eagle decal is about 40%. The national decal was overpainted but shines trough.
Lining: Flexible leather lining is present with original cord. Lining stamped 59 - a larger size. Chin strap is stamped but difficult to read but original to the era.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
