M42 second pattern helmet issued for the Luftschutz. Pattern with a "beaded rim". A late war example most probably issued with dark blue factory paint but this example includes no decal.
Original attached rivets and liner but cord appears to be a later addition. Chinstrap is original of leather construction.
Stamped with NS64 maker stamp and lot marked D1 11.
