An example of a German M40 helmet shell. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by Luftwaffe. This is an interesting example where the factory decal apears to be twice applied-
Paint: Original factory field grey paint with nice clean finish roughly 70%
Decals: The eagle decal is about 95% but what is present is crisp with nice detail with a second underneath that also is clean and crisp
Marked ET68 and 2036. Comes with liner ring but rivets appear to be opened at some point. Also the helmet is missing the chinstrap.
An interesting anomaly helmet that would be a good conversation piece in any collection
