Heer parade tunic


Description

Heer Waffenrock "parade tunic". Typical design with 8 front buttons and no pockets. However, the collar and insignia have been changed for field use later in the war.

 

Branch: Signals
Shoulder boards: EM type. "yellow" colour piping. Late-war boards.
Collar tabs: Machine-woven. Em/NCO pattern. Attached by machine.
Breast eagle: Machine-woven. EM/NCO style. Subdued pattern.  Period time attached by machine after removing the parade eagle- 
Buttons: All silver buttons are complete and period-time attached.
Lining: Cotton. Size stamps. "U.C.W. Köln" maker marked. "F 39" depot marked.

 

An interesting and unusual tunic. There are also signs of pink piping on the inside of the jacket. Some minor moth damage at the back.
