Third Reich NSDAP political leader's visor cap. A pre 1939 Gau level cap with red piping, upgrade to conform to post 1939 regulations with the gilt eagle, cockade, and wreath.
Fine brown cloth cap. Dark band soft velvet band. 2nd pattern cap eagle and wreath with nice enameled cockade. Brown visor. Matching gold chin strap. Visor has elongated holes on both sides where chin strap buttons were replaced.
A celluloid sweat diamond in the center, having some pieces missing. Staining from use. Nice pliable sweatband
Brown RZM "Tuchmüste" label underneath the sweat-band indicating maker "52" for Arthur Frahm of Berlin (rare maker).
