Wurttemberg - 2 x Fire Brigade Service Medals, 2. Mod & Free State Version

Description

The Fire Brigade Service Decoration 2nd model was awarded between 1912 to 1915 and 1919 to 1920 after being issued by the Minister of the Interior on approval of the King of Wuerttemberg on December 27, 1912. The recipient had to be a member of any Wuerttemberg fire brigade for 25 years. The manufacturer for this medal was W.Mayr & F.Wilhelm in Stuttgart.

The Free State of Wuerttemberg’s Fire Brigade Service Decoration was issued by the legislative on June 20, 1925, and required 25 years of service in one of the Free States fire brigades. The medal was made by the same maker as its’ predecessor but also by the Wuerttemberg Mint.

Two exceptionally clean examples of the two medals with original ribbon mounts.
