Beschreibung

Nice document grouping to Generalmajor Hans-Henning von Holtzendorff, who served as commander of the Panzerabwehr-Abteilung 13, Panzerjäger-Abteilung 561, and Schützen-Regiments 40. In the spring of 1941, he served as commander of Schützen-Regiment 104 in North Africa. He was involved in the campaigns in France, Africa, and Russia. Generalmajor von Holtzendorff also commanded the  Kraftfahrparktruppen-Schule in Stuttgart-Vaihingen and was head of training at the Panzertruppenschule. He was taken prisoner of war on 06.05.1945, from which he was released on 26.06.1947.

Certificate to Bavarian Military Merit Order 4th Class. Issued on 31.03.1913. Hand-signed by Paul Otto Felix Freiherr Kreß von Kressenstein.

Certificate to 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 17.09.1917. Hand-signed by Generalmajor Walter von der Osten. 

Certificate to Wound Badge in Black. Issued on 15.12.1914. Hand-signed by a Generalleutnant (at this time, Erich Ludendorff was the Generalquartiermeister, his signature?). 

Ottoman certificate to Gallipoli Star. Very rare to find!

Certificate to Honor Cross of WWI. Issued on 01.01.1935. Hand-signed by Generalmajor Paul Otto, German Cross in Silver winner.

Certificate to Heer Long Service Award 4th Class. Issued on 02.10.1936. Hand-signed by Generalmajor Paul Otto, German Cross in Silver winner.

Certificate to Heer Long Service Award 3rd Class. Issued on 24.01.1937. Hand-signed by General Wilhelm Ulex.

Certificate to the 1939 Clasp to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 12.05.1940. Hand-signed by Generalleutnant Heinrich von Vietinghoff-Scheel, Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner.  

Certificate to the 1939 Clasp to the Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 22.06.1940. Hand-signed by a Generalmajor.

Romanian certificate to the Order of the Star of Romania, Commander's Cross. Issued on 01.09.1942.

Certificate to cuff title AFRIKA. Issued by the Panzertruppenschule I on 28.02.1944. Hand-signed by Oberst Oskar Munzel, Knight's Cross and German Cross in Gold winner.

Certificate to 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords. Issued on 20.04.1942. Hand-signed by General der Pioniere Walter Kuntze, Knight's Cross winner.

Certificate to the Lower Saxony Order of Merit, Merit Cross 1st Class. Issued on 01.05.1964. Signed by the Minister-President of Lower Saxony Georg Diederichs. With the original folder. Additional a photo of the award ceremony. It shows the minister Alfred Kubel together with Hans-Henning von Holtzendorff. Minister Alfred Kubel signed the photo on the back.

Some documents from his time as a prisoner of war and a document about his military career from 1911 to 1945 (written by himself in 1947).
